We, signed bellow, report ex officio to the exalted Magistrate on the order we received from the Magistrate concerning the dismissal of Laurentius Herczeg (Lawrence Herceg), a member of the Jewish community, from the office of judge, and the conduct of a new election of a judge for the Jewish community, as well as a juror. will be implemented by February 23 of the current year. As the Council of the Jewish Community approached, we first had to respect and present the views of their community on the conditions of the elections that were valid for the period from November 18, 1821 to the last day of January 1823. We have revised their conditions and attitudes and added them ex officio to the selection documentation. After reconsidering the mentioned positions and approaching the dismissal of Lawrence Herceg from his previous position, we tried to elect a new judge and jurors, and the Jewish community declared that they do not want to go through a new election of a judge until certain conditions are met. are respected and taken into account. Here are the mentioned requirements:
1. That when the amount of fees for members of the Jewish community is determined in the future, that the judge in question be always present, since he is well acquainted with the individual property possibilities of the members of his community, and generally participates in decisions concerning the Jewish community.
2. The Jews ask that if soldiers be recruited from their community, that the election be also entrusted to the said judge, since he knows the members of his community best.
3. If a Jew is accused of a crime or a crime, to be examined in the obligatory presence of the said judge and to take into account the competencies that the Magistrate assigns to the said judge.
4. That in determining the amount of financial obligations also decides the said judge for his community.
5. Finally, that all decisions originating from the exalted Local Council of Hungary, and relating to the Jews, be carried out through the said elected judge. We, on the other hand, believe that all these conditions and demands of the Jewish community on the topic of reappointment of judges and jurors should be ex officio presented to the exalted Magistrate for further consideration and decision. In Sombor on February 28, 1823.

Mathias Jozits (Matija Jozić), senator, authorized by the Magistrate
David Konyovits (David Konjović), also authorized to implement this decision

Give the Magistrate and the fiscal of the Magistrate the opportunity to express their opinion on everything. In the Senate of the city of Sombor, on March 10, 1823.
