Amplissime Magistratus!

Nuper remonstrationem A. Magistratui exhibui, in qua cujusdam Isaaci Kretzmer ruralis chyrurgi nevos errores ac imposturas in Civitate nostra per cum exerceri solitas, clare exposui, ac simul ad propediendum ne fors pluribus malis Civitatem nostram prout caperat inundare prosummat, ut consilium ei detur e Civitate nostra migrandi; cum tamen necquinquam determinatum intelligam, et huicce nequam malitici sua limitas haud panere velit; quin paradigma novum perversitatis sua, quod in lucem edidit, A. Magistratui refero. Nunc recentissime in obversum Altiorum ordinum, malum pestifero simillimum ad quod extirpandum omnes regnantes principes ac potentia jam a compluribus annis symbolam suam contulerunt et unitis viribus ad hancce pestem sufferendam ab altiori quoque loco jam salutares habemus ordines; eo non obstante ad satiandam suam auri sacram famem, qua nimis miser urgetur, nil pretermittit, quo fine suo potiri valeat. Itaque ostiatim civium domos Judaorum more obambulat, semet insinuat, operam suam satis ineptam etiam minime requisitus ultro invitis obtrudit. Et quia videt, quod in opere suo medendi exiguum facere possit progressum, ideo inoculationem variolarum suscipere attentavit. Sed pro dolor! Non materia vaccina, verum e naturalibus variolis virus desumpsit, ac inde complures infantes inoculavit, consequenter virus naturalium variolarum quod omnino sufferri ac extirpari deberet, ultro disseminavit fomitemque hocce pestifero malo gliscentem cervicibus generationi nostra invite injecit, taliterque confidntiam, quam levi passu cives erga vaccinationem hucadusque susceperunt, crisi subjecit, ut adeo ii vaccinationem penitus abhorrere videantur.
Itaque quod officii mei est A. Magistratui hocce illicitum ac summe periculosum factum Isaaci Kretzmer refero ac insinuo eum in finem, ut nominatus ruralis chyrurgus a talismodi actibus illicitis inhibeatur simulac Altiori loco prevaricator hicce, qui contemtis Altioribus ordinibus per nefus intentioni Sacratissima sua Majestatis in obversum agit, deferatur. Ut tamen in salvo civitatem nostram cui invigilare, officii mei est, conservare valeam quum a perversi hujus juvenis actibus homo nunquam satis tutus esse potest. Cuperem ut juxta intimatum Excelsi Consilii Regii locumtenentialis Hungarici de anno 1791 circulanter emanatum, in quo Judais transmigratio interdicitur, hic quoque ad locum originis reinvietur. Officiosam hancce insinuationem meam Prothocollo inseri ac altiori loco submitti suplico maneo.

Ad Amplissimum Magistratum Libere Regieque Civitatis Zombor physici civitatis officiosa remonstratio
Excessuum Isaaci Kretzmer ruralis chyrurgi in Civitate nostra commisorum
Exalted Magistrate!

Recently, I again exposed to the exalted Magistrate all the harmful violations and abuses of a certain village surgeon Kretzmer in our city, and I did so in a clear way, asking at the same time that he move out of our city so as not to cause additional harm to our city; I was not completely determined in that, but it turns out that his evil has no limits; so on this occasion, in the light of day before the exalted Magistrate, I present a new image and an opportunity for its corruption. Now recently, and contrary to the highest decrees, we have again an example of a plague like a disease that all rulers have tried with all their might and centuries of united forces to eradicate, so today we have all the above-mentioned decrees; the said man is unable to satisfy his greed for gold, it torments him unhappily, and she will torment him for the rest of his life. Namely, he continues to visit the homes of Jews as before, and where he is not invited at all, he offers and imposes his insufficient knowledge. However, since he saw that there was very little success in the treatment, he tried to undertake the inoculation of smallpox. But it was all to the torment and damage! The virus did not give substances for the vaccine, but collected the smallpox virus from natural sources, giving it to many children, and in that way the smallpox virus only further dispersed because the serum of this contagious disease, which it took from the secretions of infected people, injected into people's necks, which led to the fact that more gullible people faced with a crisis of a serious infection were so frightened that today they were afraid of any vaccination.
Therefore, as is my duty, I present to the exalted Magistrate this impermissible and extremely dangerous act of Isaaci Kretzmer (Isaac Kretsmer) and order that the mentioned village surgeon and deceiver be prevented from higher instances from further harming the community, not in the least disregarding His Majesty's highest ordinances. It is my duty to watch over the welfare of our city and to preserve it, because no one here can be safe from the misdeeds of this corrupt young man. I would also like to remind you of the decree of the exalted Council of Lieutenancz of the Kingdom of Hungary from 1791, according to which Jews in such situations are ordered to move to their place of origin. I ask that this note of mine be included in the Protocol, and I humbly ask that it be submitted to a higher instance.

To the Exalted Magistrate

Humble servant
Mathias Lovsz (Matija Loosz), chief city physician

To the Exalted Magistrate of the Free Royal City of Sombor, a presentation ex officio by the Chief City Physician, on the topic of the misdeeds of Isaac Kretzmer (Isak Krecmer), a village surgeon, performed in our city
