Respcted friends!

This is an excerpt from the Protocol issued on February 7 of the previous year under number 343, on the subject of the investigation and response of the accused Jew, surgeon Isaac Kretzmer, as well as the addendum of November 28 of the same year under number 3265: and tried to persuade the honest pharmacist Alexandrum Peak to charge excessive fees for the medicines he would prescribe, to the fraud and damage of the injured and for the shameful way of acquiring wealth; then he referred his patients to another pharmacy, Tuner's (Tunnerianum), to the detriment of Alexandrum Peak, who refused his dishonorable offer; Joannem Peak, the district surgeon of this county, and who, in the opinion of the public, is a modest and honest man, exceptional and deserving, tried to slander him as a transformative and bad man; he tried to impose his services on those who did not want them, at the same time slandering other people in his profession and emphasizing his skill; he prescribed overpriced medicines to the poor, some of which were not such that they should be used, moreover, some of his recipes confirm his ignorance and can be very harmful; therefore, the mentioned Jew Isaac Kretzmer, with his negligence, harmful and dangerous actions, and frauds, deserves a heavier punishment than decided here, since, contrary to the oath he took as an exclusively urban and rural surgeon, he exceeded his competencies and treated the sick. should be treated by masters of surgery or doctors with more knowledge and experience, thus negligently acting contrary to the highest regulations. Therefore, it is included in this Protocol to further prohibit the said Jew Isaac Kretzmer from practicing any medical practice, with the addition that if it turns out that the said Jew committed greater offenses than the mentioned ones, to include those offenses in the investigation and to comply accordingly. treat him.
As for the mentioned Sombor pharmacist Francisum Tunner: although it is nowhere clear that the mentioned Tuner acted as an accomplice with the Jew Kretzmer or that he deliberately charged too high a fee, it is still stated that in some cases he acted contrary to the highest regulations as when, for example, he did not return the prescriptions of the said Jew after he had been paid for them. The mentioned pharmacist is warned on this occasion to follow the amounts of fees prescribed by the highest instances as accurately as possible, and even when he wants to partially or completely exempt the poorest patients from the drug tax, he must do so in full agreement with all other pharmacists. this city community.
