Ezen nemes város hazám, és szülőtt földöm lévén annak kebelében jövendő szerencsémet feltalálni óhajtván 7-évi vándorlásom után vissza tértem - és a mesteri jogot mint Arany műves maga útján, és módján meg szerezvén – azt 5 esztendő óta az egész közönség megelégedésével üztem – és mindenkor olly szeplőtlen élettel éltem, hogy ellenem soha semmi panaszt sem tétethetett: ezen csekély tehetségem szerinti erénnyel felruházva révén - többi sorsosaimmal egyenlő jogos élvezni kívánván : - a Tekintetes Tanácsot mély alázattal megkérni bátor vagyok: - miszerint engemet - ki a reám rótt közterheket pontosan elviselem a felsőbb helyii úgy szinte a N. Tanács parancsokal szemtül, és sértetlenül - mint egy igazi hazafinak köteleségibe áll – megtartom: - a szokott polgári díj és eskü letétele után polgárnak felvétetni és a polgárok lajstromába beiktatattni kegyesen méltóztatna. Since this noble city is my homeland and my native country, I wish to find my future happiness in it, after 7 years of wandering and acquiring a master's right, I returned as an independent goldsmith and to the satisfaction of the audience for 5 years doing this craft - and I always lived such a flawless life that no one could ever appeal to me: being endowed with this virtue of my little talent - I would like to enjoy the same rights as others - I am brave to ask the Noble Council with deep humility - it would be a merciful honor to impose me public burden, both the orders of the higher government and the Noble Council, without discussion of them - because it is the duty of a true patriot - I bear with accuracy - after the usual civic tax and taking the oath, receives me as citizen and enters me in the register.
